The Pirates’ Fjord in Plakias Crete
Named after the pirates that hid in this natural fjord during the Byzantine era of the island, the Pirates’ fjord has now been modified into a comfortable and quite beach. Along the shore and on the overlooking rocks, little terraces have been built in order to accommodate sunbathers and swimmers.
For a nice tour of the surroundings, Pedal’s and canoes are available for rent.
And when things are getting really hot, there nothing better than a truly cold drink under the shade of an umbrella at the Beach Bar.
