Situated in the centre of the Island of Crete, the Kalypso is the ideal starting point for many daily excursions. The visitor can travel using the outstanding public transport system, a rented car, a motorbike or with one of the many excursions organised from the hotel.

There are many ways to reach Crete:

• By Plane: to Iraklion (115km from the Hotel) or Chania (95km from the hotel). From March to October, both these airports receive many charter flights directly from most of European capitals. During winter, there are many flights a day from Athens International Airport.
• By Sea: all year round, ferries leave many times a day to Chania, Iraklion or Rethymno. Furthermore, from April to October there are also connections to other islands of the Aegean.
